First boutique hotel of it’s kind
Ashdale’s origin stretches back to the nineteenth century. In 2012, a decision was taken to convert the property into a heritage hotel, keeping all the old features intact and creating an old world charm for guests to come and enjoy a taste of a bygone era.
The property boats of 24 luxurious rooms with terraces, a library, a sun lounge and a gourmet restaurant.
All the guest rooms have been meticulously designed with balconies and verandas, overlooking the hills.
The galleries of the hotel adorn pictures full of history, whilst the furniture stands to tell a story of a gracious lifestyle, not yet gone by…

Glimpse of Ashdale Boutique Hotel
I had gone to Nainital with my parents, our travel agent booked us saying he was not sure of this property because it was new. When we arrived at Ashdale, we could not believe our eyes! It was like a page out of a architectural magazine, super decor, and flowers to match. We had the Regent Room with a verandah which overlooked the garden and it was beautiful

I was a student from St Mary’s in Nainital, so for me the town holds special meaning. Being an Anglo Indian myself, I am fascinated by the old British buildings, and Ashdale Cottage is a beautiful property. I enjoyed my stay here. The views from the rooms are pretty and the weather in September is lovely. The service was very good. It’s a new property, so visit it quickly.
